The requirements require that the image is either sized to the edges of the layout, or that there is some kind of fill (either a background color or pattern) behind your image if it does not scale to the edges of the layout.
Many of our products display a faint, dashed green line on the design tool – this is referred to as a safe zone. It must be respected in concern to any product that it displays for on the design tool.
For blankets and towels:
If you want your photo to print edge-to-edge on the blanket, then it must scale to or past the boundaries of the design area. Leaving small areas unfilled isn't acceptable. This method will also result in 1-3 inches on edge edge of the image displayed being cropped on the final blanket.
If you want your layout to have a border color or pattern, the image must be scaled within the boundaries safe zone. The area behind your image must be filled with a background color or pattern of some kind.
All text or similarly important elements (such as logos), must be contained within the safezone. If you place them outside of this area, it increases the likelihood that they will end up being cropped off (either partially or entirely) on the final blanket's layout.
Leaving any area of the layout unfilled is ill-advised and will result in your order's production time being delayed as our art team will reach out to you to suggest corrections. The length of the production delay will depend on how quickly you respond and agree to a solution.
Unless you are using a photo and filling the entire area inside the grey dotted line with your photo, you must select a background color or pattern. Processing of your order may be delayed if a background color or pattern is not selected.
Click on the Flower Icon at the top of the page to bring up the Designs Menu Area on the left side of the screen
Now, click on the Small Flower Icon on the left edge of the screen
Use the search area to search clip art by keyword or use drop down menus to select a category and subcategory
To see all of the images, you may need to scroll down in the display area or click on Load More at the bottom of the page
Select the image you would like to add
Use the controls and toolbar items to place and manipulate the clip art
Some clipart allows you to change the colors in the image. You will see circles appear on the right side of the Design Menu area under the toolbar. Click on a circle and select a new color to personalize your clipart selection
Click on the background to deselect the current piece of clipart and follow the steps again to place another piece of clipart if desired.
The white circles on each side of the item you have selected allow you to adjust the dimensions of the shape making it longer, shorter, wider, or more narrow. Please note that some items will not have these circles and can only be sized proportionally.
Clicking on the and holding the mouse button allows you to resize your shape while maintaining the original proportions.

The Expand and Compress tools are in the toolbar located in the lower right corner of your screen. Click the tool until the image or text is the right size.

Locking a design element prevents accidentally changing its size, location or other characteristics. If the option to lock a design element is available, a lock icon will appear on one side of the adjustment box that surrounds the item when it is selected.
Once you have placed your photo, text or clip art and have changed its size, orientation and colors, you can click on the lock icon. A menu will appear in the design area. Click in the "Lock All" box to completely lock your design element.
If an element of your design is locked, you can click on the lock again to bring up the lock menu so that you can unlock the item and make changes.
To put it simply, photos displayed on screen do not require a high resolution to appear crisp and clear where as photos printed on our products do require a high resolution to print well. Your file should meet these minimum requirements, without large areas of white around the image. Small web images/thumbnails saved off of sources such as Facebook, will not print well and we recommend against using them.
Minimum size needed - 4.7 Megapixel
File Size as JPEG/JPG - Minimum of 672 KB
File Size as PNG - Minimum of 5.45 MB
Other file types, such as PSD, AI, PDF, and EPS are acceptable so long as they meet the minimum in megapixels.

PersonalThrows.com reserves the right to refuse any objectionable material. We will not reproduce materials that are deemed by our staff to be offensive or obscene.
Here are some guidelines to know if your photo is perfect for our products:
High contrast - A nice, high contrast photo will always work best. If there is a good delineation between highlights and shadows, good detail in the subject and a balance in contrast, your blanket or wall hanging will turn out beautifully.
Large Subject Matter- If your subject matter (a person, a pet, a building, etc) takes up the majority of the photo, you will be able to see more detail and the colors will be more vibrant and true-to-life. If the subject is too small, you might consider cropping the photo so that the subject takes up roughly 60-80% of the image.
Old Photos - While we can certainly make your product from any photo, older photographs are not always the best choice. They can be faded or the color can change over time. For best results, pick the clearest, most color-rich older photograph you have.
Focus- please make sure that the photo you send is in focus. We can do minimal sharpening, but a crisp photo will always work best
Black & White Photos - We can create your product from a black and white photo. No problem!
If you're concerned about the quality of your image being good enough for print, you may email it to firstname.lastname@example.org for a free consultation. We highly encourage our customers to do a bit of investigation on whether or not their image is workable before submitting an order. However, if you're concerned and submit the image without checking with us first, you will be responsible under our Image Acceptance Policy if your order ends up with poor quality because of the image you submit.
If you signed up with an account on our site, you may check the status of your order by logging in. Click the "Account" link at the top right hand side of our site to check your orders status. Shipped orders should be marked as shipped, and they should be updated with a tracking number.
You will also be sent a shipping confirmation email automatically when your order ships, regardless of whether or not you signed up for an account with our site.
If the production period for your order has passed (this is indicated on the product page) and you still have not received a shipping confirmation email, we ask that you check your spam folder. If it still appears the order hasn't shipped, then please reach out to us at email@example.com.
This is difficult to do and is part of why recommend that you double check your order before you submit it. Be advised that if it is 1 business day past an order being placed we are unable to cancel or remove items from it.

Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to track your order status. Be sure that all of the items in your order have shipped already. If you order displays your Package Tracking Numbers, check with the shipper to confirm that your packages were delivered. If your packages each show a status of "delivered", please contact customer service for assistance.
Depending on the combination of items you ordered, some items may have shipped separately. This is because some of our products are fulfilled at different locations, and cannot be shipped together. For example, jacquard woven products ship from a different facility from the rest of our products – an order for a Polar Fleece Blanket and a Jacquard Woven Blanket would be split up into two separate shipments for this reason.

Online upload (full design by PersonalThrows design team) : Just choose the option of "I want your art team to make it for me." to have us do all the work for you and use upload option on the product page by clicking on browse, and clicking on add to cart after reviewing all chosen options (which help us determine how would you like your image setup)
Email (full design and setup by PersonalThrows design team) : After selecting the option of "I want your art team to make it for me.", choose the "Email Later" option under "Sending Image(s) by", choose other options for personalization and click add to cart. Checkout to finish your order. Wait for the confirmation email to arrive in your email inbox. Meanwhile, download and save the photo you wish to send in an easy to find location on your computer . Reply to the email confirmation with image attached and we will take care of the rest. Alternatively, note down your order# and send a separate email to firstname.lastname@example.org with image attached and order# in the subject line. Do include any comments, special instructions before you send the photos to us.
